FvF Mixtape #53

For our recent mixtape we asked Berlin-based Ji-Hun Kim to provide us with a unique selection of all-time- and recent musical favorites. Ji studied Musikwissenschaften and Philosophie, which lead him to the position of Editor-In-Chief at De:Bug a few years ago. Now he is writing on a freelance basis for magazines such as Groove, Intersection and Monopol. Besides his theoretical expose, Ji-Hun is generally better known for heating up the Berliner club crowd Deep House tunes alone or with together with Julian Braun as Kim Brown, which was founded four years ago by the talented guys.

Within this compilation he takes us on a surprisingly smooth journey with tunes by artists across the globe. Besides featuring Berlin-based Nils Frahm with a slow instrumental and Eddie C, we travel with “Demon Host” by Canadian folk band Timber Timbre until we reach Los Angeles and electronic artist, Jimmy Tamborello aka Dntel.

Close your eyes, turn up your speakers and let this mix allow you to escape the everyday just for a bit.
