Risofest is Berlin’s first ever festival of Risography
Risography is a method of printing that blends screen printing with machine litho. Once the domain of church halls and political parties, the Riso aesthetic has since been adopted by artists, DIY bookmakers and designers who praise its slightly wonky look and affordability. In response to the method’s surge in popularity, Vetro Editions are holding the very first Risofest, a festival devoted to the city’s Riso artists and studios. The event will feature exhibitions, workshops, book-launches and parties, from studios such as BLINKBLINK, Kunst Werk Stadt Berlin and We make it.
Risofest, A celebration of DIY printing, takes place at Urban Spree, Revaler Str. 99, Berlin on Friday 5 May 2017. For more information, please see their Facebook event here.
