    • 1 From Billie Holiday’s anti-lynching ballad Strange Fruit, to the Sex Pistol’s anarchic God Save the Queen, music has long been a vehicle used to carry the political messages of the oppressed and the voiceless. According to The Guardian, the torch has now passed to Grime, a genre with a knack for social commentary, to represent the disenchanted.
    • 2 A vertigo-inducing glass-bottomed swimming pool has been planned for suspension 10 storeys up in London’s Nine Elms. Dezeen fills us in on the structure, which will allow residents to swim between two apartment buildings, and give pedestrians below an eyeful.
    • 3 The Wall Street Journal gets a glimpse inside the home of Jean Touitou, founder of fashion label and FvF staff favorite, A.P.C. The apartment has a laid-back ’70s vibe, and sits next to the border of the 6th and 7th arrondissement, an area associated with both affluence and bohemianism, much like the label itself.
    • 4 Super-producer Rick Rubin’s discography is arguably the most extensive and revered in the music industry. Well known for his zen approach to life, this short feature in The Independent reveals the same attitude applies in the studio, as he is shown delivering advice to a series of musicians, sage-like, and horizontal.
    • 5 Fresh off the back of this year’s Berlinale, i-D has compiled a list of its favorite films featured at the event. We were extra happy to spot Kiki, a vibrant social documentary that includes the involvement of FvF Mixtape contributor Venus DuPree.
    • 6 Anyone who saw 2014’s Gone Girl will already be aware of Rosamund Pike’s dark side. Her latest performance, in the video for Massive Attack’s new single ‘Voodoo Blood’, is thrillingly creepy. Director Andrzej Żuławskig gave Dazed Digital a run down of the inspiration behind the video.
    • 7 Fellow short-film fans It’s Nice That have the story on the latest Huck film, a sensitive and touching portrait of the father and son team behind the independent typewriter manufacturers Gramercy Typewriter. The film is a testament to the fading industry, showing the pair’s enduring love of their niche practice nonetheless.
    • 8 Started by four friends who share focus on creativity and design, FiftyThree is the company behind Paper, the iPad illustration app beloved by designers. We had a great time interviewing CEO Georg Petschnigg last year, and more recently enjoyed Medium.com’s Q&A with co-founder Andrew S. Allen.
    • 9 Seen by some as a medium in decline, radio is being reinvented by a select few determined to maintain its relevance. Electronic Beats fills us in on the women leading the online radio revolution.
